It’s been a little over two weeks since we started the cycle of reimaging what our cities could contribute to the larger whole’s they are nested in
Since then, the early framing of the Bioregional Institute has started to take shape, and a motley crew of individuals have started to gravitate around the flame of innovation, reciprocity, and regeneration of the cooperative
The next stage of the work switches gears into resourcing and structuring, from opportunities and deals, to venture and local partners, investors and landowners
We need to start materialising the spiritual and spiritualizing the material in the true spirit of our lineage of work
Im deeply interested in the potential I see around collapsing of siloes across industry by focusing on ground-up, full cycle project work, and delivering the learnings as an ecosystem of useful, useable knowledge for the generation of evolutionary projects
Centres that operate as whole of system designers and doers, a collaboration of First, settled, and transient/tourist people, gathered around participatory research, discovery, and adventure, project work, education, business, industry sector, and most importantly, community development
Also, some of the biggest names in the field of regen in Australia are based in Melbourne so very keen to get a chance to work with everyone on a live project designed to build capacity and rebalance the systems of power back to the people
This is an opportunity for all of us to weave new patterns in place, and within ourselves, through live project work as a collaborative field, and I couldn’t be more excited to get started
So this is the final call to action from myself and the wider team to the willing and able, the TRP’s and the people in place to participate in the Story of Place for Melbourne in service to the Melbourne Basin
