System Change Investing (SCI)
“ESG is a flawed premise” -Frank Dixon
Great groundwork through Frank Dixon’s Global System Change, helping resource fund managers on investment/impact indicators geared toward system change at the listed equities level
Having this new level of metrics gives 2 returns, firstly that investors and the companies that will lead their sector on them will be acknowledging that the economy is not in a complete and final stage of its development and we are in a transitional period of its evolution, and secondly they will be developing true resilience into their portfolio and companies in an increasingly more volatile world.
There will be a tipping point when all the stars align including corporate law on climate change, taxation, and legislation that support fund managers and listed company boards to understand this is necessary and supported as part of their fiduciary duty
But what System Change? Where can these managers turn who reached the pinnacle of their careers due to their exceptionally well-adjusted and aligned personalities to the system? How do you explain to a fish that it is actually swimming in water?
Carol Sanford has the largest, longest lineage of regenerative business work in the market that I have seen and would be a good start for any business leader or fund manager, even if it's just for ‘a new edge to exceed in their current role’
Though I can’t escape the process of going back to the beginning, searching for the base, asking the question ‘What is all this about and what is its core, its truth’
So thinking really quickly, surface level, basic premise… Glance across the world, we have people and nature and planet, our people are dying, starving, in pain and in pain causing pain, why? Nature is dying, starving, choking, slaughtered, why? Our planet's natural systems are imbalanced thermally, chemically, and new unnatural toxicities are being created, why?
Our man-made systems are the answer to every question we ever need to ask, and this is because we have elevated the value of these systems above anything of true value in this world… Does that not strike you as insanity? A species so divided, so scared, so insecure, that they are not willing to consciously act like a herd with true natural democracy that any land mammal herd governs itself by, though we can be herded and controlled once our limbic systems have been hijacked and exploited into a state of fear and individualism
We have systems, knowledge, frameworks, wisdom, and willing to regeneratively redevelop this planet and all our systems from the ground up
Let's not just change to not die, let's evolve… Is it not time?
