Living System Frameworks in Action!

I’ve been given an excellent welcome from the Shepherds Ground community.
Yesterday meeting our direct neighbour next to us, a young family with dreams of rural village life, and obviously, the incredible Miss Jane on our other side, who has always been a welcoming force to the Veridian and Regen Places Network team on the multiple occasions we’ve been here to present our field of regenerative development and design… Until ‘The Michael’ accidentally fell in love with one of the local girls…

Like all things in life and love, there are opportunities to show up as your best self, challenges that allow room for you to expand and adjust the perceived boundaries of your soul, and the gifts that help you check your fears and insecurities at the threshold of the door which opens to your next step of evolution
One of these gifts came in the form of an email from one of the residents outlining their fear of Loki as a restrictive breed on-site…
Totally understandable and expected with young families in a peaceful community, but it was the delivery which gave me a prod to pause and reflect
My original email was to all of the community, updating them that after a year of visits and presenting to Shepherds Ground, Anarkali and I had decided to go all in on our future together, sharing our lives, home, businesses, and beautiful gift of raising the children in this incredible community. That this has changed my position on SG from a business perspective and I now have a very deep commitment to contributing my skills and resources to the evolution and mission of this farming village
My return email held the vibe of respect, acknowledgement, and camaraderie on our shared fight for the rights of women, children, and animals… I’m vegan, and Loki’s a rescue, which I had to nurse back to health both physically and mentally with his abject fear of men and the dark
The return return email, maybe dropped below the level of consciousness I wish to communicate through with my new community
So I paused and asked myself the question… “What is the opportunity here to work with our living system frameworks to help stack multiple benefits across these conflicting paradigms, community development perspectives, and functionality of the farm?”
My favourite conflict resolution is the Law of Three… I think it’s an old Sufi perspective on the energies that people bring to the table
Our lineage of regenerative development through Regensis was created through the combination of Permaculture and Charlie Crones work through regenerative organisational architecture, Carol Sanford bringing in Indigenous American wisdom and other, and a combination of old Buddist, Sufi, and 4th Way principles… mapped onto John Benetts work of Systematics…
Which basically for me means “Collective multi-dimensional global lived wisdom through time, layered onto the Sacred Geomatry of the Universe, which allows us to design with the energies of the Universe, which work to orders through development of harmonised complexity”
So the Law of Three…
Many situations in life come to a head through an Activating Force and a Restraining Force
I think the problem we have in these modern times is the lazy desire to always Compromise… you lose a little, and I lose a little, but we basically figure out a way for us to co-exist through depleted life force, without using the opportunity to grow and evolve
The Law of Three holds a different third option…
Instead of us both losing a little… why don’t we come together with open hearts, intentions, and empathy… hold both our own view of the situation and each others, while giving them equal value… and use the creative potential of this combined force to co-create a third way not yet seen by anyone, which raises the vibration of the event to new developmental levels
Example here that I want to bring to the members of SG if they are willing:
Activating Force - The Michael comes with Loki in his care
Restraining Force - Community member/s fear of Loki
Low Life-Force Compromise - Heavy restrictions on Loki’s life on farm
High Life-Force Reconcile - Community Co-design of the potential for Loki’s contribution to the farm
As there was no way for me to write an unbiased script for this to play out I put the Law of Three paper into ChatGPT and gave it the prompt in the attachment here as an example of how this could play out…
Today I will give the members group space to chat and decide on how this community deals with new challenges etc, and have faith that they haven’t done all this incredible community development work for nothing
But the Law of Three is just the beginning…
We’ve only just taken our first footstep into our beloved field of regenerative development, with this one first step on perception & perspective…
“Where is the real developmental work on the Loki matter Michael?” I hear you ask…
…and thanks for asking, my coffee just kicked in and I’m just warming up…
From a Law of Three I would move into the world of Systematics with the First level of Universal Order I like to design with… the Triad
…and a hint… we actually just used it as it emerges universally, here mapped onto the Sufi framework created hundreds of years before Systematics was formed…
In our lineage of regenerative development, we hold the premise (developed through observation of the living world) that for any role to be really living, dynamic, and evolutionary, it needs three qualities… Vitality, Viability, and Evolutionary Potential
Basic Example:
You are considering a new job position in life….
Does it have Vitality? Does it bring energy into your life or drain you?
Does it have Viability? Does it support your life financially and allow you the resources to develop your family to new orders of fulfilment?
Does it have Evolutional Potenital? Is there room for your own growth and development in the role?
If it has Vitality and Viability but no Evolutionary Potential… You will hit a ceiling and stagnate, which will drain Vitality and effect either the job or your home life
If it only has Viability and Evolutionary Potential with plenty of room to climb… The work will drain your life force and affect the other two or your home life
If it has Vitality and Evolutionary Potential but no Viability… Your life force will be drained affecting the other dimentions of your life
With all three, you may not have the keys to the universe, but for the next best step of your Beings evolution, you have a living Role to grow through until the sands of change blow across your life-scape once more..
So back to Loki’s dilemma/potential on the farm…
If the member’s group see this situation through the opportunity lens, and we look at new orders of potential for not only Loki but all the other dogs, cats, cows, geese, ducks, chickens, kangaroos, bilbies, rats, and whatever else flows through these 112 hectares of love…
How can Loki, or a new animal, business, initiative, infrastructure, machine, tool, strategy, insert new thing here, bring more Potential to the farm for its evolution?
This is a community co-design enquiry that I wouldn’t taint by touching on it here…
The next living layer of community from Shepherds Ground is what we are holding as “The Quiet River Cradle” which includes this unique cluster of cities, towns, and communities huddled together around a three-river life-shed of the Hunter, Patterson, and Williams rivers
Through RegenHunter.com.au, the team is going out into the community, talking to landowners, local businesses, and social enterprises, to get an understanding of how this beautiful region breathes, and how we can all contribute to its evolution through community co-design of regenerative development and investment strategies
Oh…
And the whole dangerous dog with a new young family thing…
We are actively looking for new doggy therapists to help Loki with the transition… or maybe his??
